Just a few days late, but I’m excited to share with you my project for February! A bedroom makeover for our main bedroom – a very overdue makeover.

I have wanted to make a few changes in our bedroom for a while, we are in a rental though so it’s strictly decor only! Our bedroom is in the middle of the passage of our house which means I walk past it countless times per day and it has been rather plain and uninspiring for a while.

For some reason this room lacks picture hooks (the rest of the house does not!) which hasn’t helped but I think I will be able to get around this by using some of those nifty 3M removable hooks.

First up is a new quilt cover which should be here any day now. We have had a few nice ones over the years but seem to always come back to this one, thanks to our cat who loves to sleep on the end of our bed – her hair is the most camouflaged on this quilt – along with a waffle blanket.

Also on my list is a revamp of our bedside table lamps. The shades really need a lift, I’m thinking of crocheting them a cover like the photo further on down the post (but don’t tell the hubs just yet!!).
